Answering the Call to Awaken

Our awakening often starts as discomfort. We begin to notice, just how uncomfortable we are in our day to day life. We may notice that our job does not fulfill us, our relationships aren't what we would like for them to be, we usually even feel uncomfortable in our own skin, wishing our bodies were something they are not.
If we don't notice or choose to ignore this discomfort, after a while it becomes stress and anxiety. If we still don't pay attention, it leads to anger, depression, physical ailments, general life dissatisfaction and on and on and on until one day......BOOM!!!
Either we see it or it knocks us out!! The knock out blow usually comes as a major health problem, a debilitating accident, the loss of a job, or the loss of a major relationship (through disagreement or death). And for those of us who have been ignoring the call for a really long time, it may come as more than one of these all at once!!
While we have been programmed to believe these things are beyond our control or fated to happen, I must disagree. I believe that painful things happen, to awaken us to a new level of awareness, that can actually move us into a life of control and happiness.
Awakening has become such a cliche word these days, and everyone has their own perspective of what it means. I like to keep things as simple as possible to me awakening is realizing that what you are doing isn't working (i.e. it is not providing you with a life experience you enjoy) and then spending the time and energy necessary to discover what will.
We have been born into a society that actually works against us from birth. From the moment we come into this world we are given labels, rules, restrictions and limitations. We are filled with fear of the unknown and told not to trust anything, including, and sometimes especially, our own judgement.
To top it off we are told that even if we live within our boundaries, follow all the rules and do the right things, we still may fail and bring shame to ourselves.
From this learned perception, we live in a constant state of fear, which places us in a heightened physical state of fight or flight. Living in this state not only dulls our other states of awareness, but it is very draining to our physical bodies. In this weakened state we live in survival mode, constantly putting out fires but never making any progress, i.e. we stay where we were born.
When we begin to awaken to the fact that we are in survival mode, it is only then that we can begin to make the changes necessary, to move into a more balanced state of Being.
I have found, that it is very beneficial to start this process by implementing tools that help us to notice how we are living our day to day life.
We can start by looking at our thoughts, our words, our behaviors, our relationships, the environments that we spend the most time in and how all of these things are affecting our overall life experience.
We can then begin to explore and implement needed changes in each of these categories. Through this process, we can begin to learn to trust ourselves to make good decisions, to listen to our intuition and to take responsibility for our thoughts, emotions and physical well being, as well as our energetic health and our overall life satisfaction.
Although, the process itself can be painful and takes time, it is also rewarding and ultimately leads to the freedom that your soul has been yearning to discover.
If you are feeling the discomfort and are ready to answer the call, I am here to support you!!
Through, personal guidance, energy work and intuitive inspiration, we can work together to first unwind the old that is keeping you stuck and then learn to create the life of your choosing!!
Blessings on Your Journey,
