The Simplest Solution to what ails you: Grounding

Over the last several months, I have noticed a pattern, both in the people that I work with and even in myself!! We are suffering needlessly, because we are not well grounded.
Grounding is a very simple concept that means your are well connected to, and therefore optimally aware and functioning in, your physicality.
When we are not well grounded we will notice that we feel scattered, anxious, and overwhelmed. We will also notice we are physically clumsey, running into things, dropping things, tripping or stumbling over things. In extreme cases we may actually feel dizzy or even separate from our bodies.
Ungroundedness occurs when our energy flow is blocked.
This can happen for a multitude of reasons including:
*Poor diet
*Lack of Sleep
*Absorption of Environmental Energies-including electronic pollution
*Stress
*Depression
*Fear/Worry
*Poor/Draining Relationships
*Illness/Disease
*Focusing on Spiritual Connections
Regardless of the reason you may be ungrounded or the symptoms you may be experiencing there are some very simple solutions.
Here are a variety for you to choose from:
WATER: whether you drink it or sit in it, water is a wonderful grounding tool. Its natural properties easily carry you back into a flowing energy.
FOOD: while all food can be considered as somewhat grounding, natural live foods, particularly roots (i.e. potatoes, carrots, beets etc.) provide the greatest benefits. We will often find ourselves craving foods that are grounding. I would like to mention that if our diet isn't well balanced potato chips or other salty, not so good for you foods, may be what comes to mind.
SALT: natural sea salt whether added to your food or bath has an amazing grounding affect.
5 SENSES: In a pinch your five physical senses can do the trick. Simply notice the following: What do I hear? What do I see? What do I feel? What do I taste? What am I touching?
MINDFUL BREATHING EXERCISES: Our breath is our bodies life force. By taking several full, deep breaths in through the the nose and out through the mouth we can become more centered and connected to our bodies.
NATURE: Take a trip outside. Connect with the Earth. New studies are indicating that placing your bare feet on the Earth, in what they are now calling Earthing can have a huge, measurable affect on your over all physical well being.
VISUALIZATION: simple using visualization techniques, such as envisioning roots coming from your root chakra and/or the bottoms of your feet and rooting you into the Earth can be very helpful.
ROCKS, STONES AND CRYSTALS: Sometimes a pocket full of rocks or crystals can do the trick. Just sticking your hand in your pocket will invoke grounding.
PURE ESSENTIAL OILS: Essential oils, can also work wonders for grounding. Be sure to do your research, to ensure you are using the oils properly and that you are not allergic.
